Transition, growth and opportunity at the Bitter Root Water Forum
In January, the Bitter Root Water Forum will welcome a new board president as Eddie Olwell steps off the board of directors.
After nine years of service, including three as president, Olwell has reached his term limit and will make way for new leadership of nearly 25-year-old nonprofit organization. He says it was a pleasure to serve and he has seen great progress for the organization and its ability to improve the watershed since he joined in 2010.
“At that time we had little money and had to scrape enough together to pay a director half–time,” Olwell said. “Since then the organization has grown to two full-time staff and an AmeriCorps member, with an office location in downtown Hamilton.”
