Let's get the Mustang out of the West Fork

Donate to help us remove it!

"The mustang has been in the river a long time, and sure it's a fun story, but it doesn't belong in the river and if it can be removed we should remove it. It's a safety issue and a distraction from the natural beauty of the area," said Jenny West, a Bitterroot native and local outfitter.

Katie Vennie, a project coordinator for the Water Forum, noted that there are a number of cars in the Bitterroot, but this one is a good candidate for removal since it's not providing any structural integrity to the stream bank. That means it doesn't increase the threat of erosion if it's removed.
