Riverfest: Annual family-friendly event set for Saturday, Aug. 16 in River Park
The Bitterroot River flows past our collective doorsteps 365 days a year; isn’t it appropriate that we take one of those days to celebrate such remarkable good fortune?
That’s the theme of “Riverfest Days,” the celebration put on by the Bitter Root Water Forum, with events set for next Friday and Saturday, Aug. 15-16. Most of the events are centered around Hamilton’s River Park, but Saturday’s Bitterroot River cleanup encompasses the entire length of the river, from Sula and Painted Rocks to the Clark Fork confluence in Missoula.
