Bitter Root Water Forum to host next Moon Walk Aug. 9
The Bitterroot National Forest and the Bitter Root Water Forum are presenting a Full Moon Walk for the Cold Water Moon on Saturday, August 9.
Each Saturday closest to the full moon, the Bitterroot Forest has free educational walks/talks that are open to everyone and cover a variety of topics.
Katie Vennie, Big Sky Water Shed Corps member (a branch of the AmeriCorps program) will present for the Bitter Root Water Forum, 7 p.m., in River Park on Ninth Street just south of Kiwanis Park.
“It will be a family friendly event,” said Vennie. “We’ll have Valerie Jensen, the ‘Story Fairy’ do a story time. Kids will make card stock puppets to help her tell the story. We’ll also do a walk which will be a nature bingo – where kids will find natural elements to fill up their card to get a prize.”
